What with health issues so much in the news lately, most recently in regard to the mysterious “chest pains” suffered by the drug addicted closet queen, the mental health of the Conservatariat has been somewhat neglected. But now it’s back in the news again.

No I’m not referring to Brit Hume’s verbal conniption fit over Tiger Woods’ Buddhism. I’m mean THIS.

“Former KSFO conservative talk radio co-host, provacateur and activist Melanie Morgan resigned from her nationally-syndicated radio show Monday for health reasons.
We connected with Morgan Monday. She says “I’m fine,” but wanted to return to the Bay Area from Washington, D.C. to be near family and friends as she continues to explore what she calls her “health challenge.”
In a note to listeners Monday, Morgan said, “Yes, it’s true. I am leaving the radio. For a while.”
“I have resigned from America’s Morning News with a tremendous amount of sadness,” Morgan writes.
“I have some health issues that I need to attend to and that’s the reason why I am leaving Washington, D.C. and returning to California where my family and friends can help me get through this challenging time.
“But I expect to lace up my skates and get goin’ again soon!”

For those familiar with Morgan this comes as no surprise. It arrives in the wake of her uh sudden exit from PBS —

“Here are a few e-mails that PBS ombud Michael Getler received after Melanie Morgan (left) appeared on “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer”: “‘The NewsHour’ is where I go to get away from screaming heads. Melanie Morgan was a disgrace to the program.” …”The yelling, interrupting and repeated rudeness by the talk show woman is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me from watching other news/talk shows.” …”We finally pushed the mute button on our remote.” The show’s producer promises “you will never see that person on our program .”

And that’s not to mention the brouhaha that arose a few years back when newspaper articles appeared detailing how the administration is monitoring international bank transfers to track terrorist financing, and Morgan took partiicular exception to the NYT.

“San Francisco talk show host Melanie Morgan believes that Times editor Bill Keller should be jailed for treason for approving the publication.
The maximum penalty for treason is death.
“If he were to be tried and convicted of treason, yes, I would have no problem with him being sent to the gas chamber,” Morgan, whose show airs on KSFO-AM, told The Chronicle on Wednesday. “It is about revealing classified secrets in the time of war. And the media has got to take responsibility for revealing classified information that is putting American lives at risk.”
The accusations of treasonous media may play well on TV shoutfests like MSNBC’s “Hardball,” where Morgan appeared this week, and on the conservative-friendly FOX News, but legal experts say the administration has little legal precedent to prosecute journalists under the 1917 Espionage Act. “

And this was well before “Tea Party” scremfest of our socialist-communist-nazi-muslim-terrorist POTUS.
Clearly the lady needs a rest. But before you lace up those skates dear you might also consider —
