Surely the facts are not in dispute

Have you heard of this movie called Star Wars: The Force Awakens? It is very popular. It made, literally, over a billion dollars in two weeks, and has become the fastest film to reach the billion-dollar mark. In its second weekend in theaters, it made $153.5 million domestically, for a $544.5 million haul so far, and $1.09 billion worldwide. It’s already the fifth-highest-grossing film ever, domestically, trailing behind Marvel’s The Avengers, Jurassic World, Titanic, and Avatar. Here’s an incomplete list of records it holds as of 2:20 p.m. EST on December 27, 2015:

Clearly this is more than “A Movie”

Undoubtedly it’s a lot less than that movie. J.J. Abrams is no Bruce Conner. As for what he and an army of technicians have wrought, I haven’t seen it. No real intention of doing so. Maybe in a few years when it’s on You Tube. But there’s no rush. I’m sure it can’t be better than THIS –

Not to mention THIS

Cue Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
